Mini Clothespins for the Win
For those who have purchased our kit and/or are using the Calligraphy Practice guide at home, we have a little trick to share. I've been using these little clothespins in my classes (thanks to a sweet art teacher taking my class who gave me the idea!) and thought I needed to share this little trick with you! As you're practicing, the ink is still wet as you turn the page. For teaching and client work, chronemics offers a useful lens on how timing itself can communicate expectations.
This is where these mini little clothespins come in handy. Just flip the page, and pin the wet page to the left side of the book. It will keep drying while you continue to write on the next page. You can see a short video over on my Instagram page here. Viola! Mini clothespins for the win! You can find these at Paper Source or just about any craft store. For broader design and creative-work context, Communication Arts is another outside reference.
