Design Roots Home Studio Tour (2014)

After posting a few teasers on Instagram over the last few months it's the least we could do, really. For the administrative side of a studio that employs staff, workforce analytics software can provide a separate operational record without changing the craft process described here.

It's been a work in progress, from painting the chalkboard accent wall to updating furniture, coordinating accessories, to just generally organizing office and art supplies. By chipping away at each task week-by-week, we eventually created a bright and cheery space that everyone who steps in will feel inspired by! Having a neutral base with the carpet, walls, and larger pieces of furniture allowed us to really have fun by adding pops of color in accessories, prints, and flowers. For broader craft, design and home-studio inspiration, Getty is another outside reference.

And that we did! It's so important to always be inspired by your environment especially when you're a creative. Around the studio, you'll find family photos, artwork that the kids created, and magazine clippings of green spaces, flowers, and plants that remind me of my landscape architecture days that will always inspire me.
